On Free, nothing runs on our servers. A Loft you never pair never contacts us.

One code, once.
To add Loft Cloud, you pair your Loft with your cloud account using a one-time code. From then on it only asks for a short-lived signed pass that says which services you have. Your local password never leaves your machine, and admins can see and revoke every paired install from the portal.

Why would I pay for something I could run myself?
You might not need to. If you are happy running an off-site backup and a monitoring box on your own, the free Loft is complete and we would love to see how you set it up. Loft Cloud is for the jobs you would rather not be on call for, like being paged at 3am, or keeping a copy of everything somewhere other than your own building.
What stays online when my machine is off?
On Free, your Loft is reachable while your machine is on. That is the honest limit of running things yourself. From Launch up, we serve your sites from our servers, so they stay up with the lid closed. Hosting does the same for up to five full apps and their databases. It can also run your whole Loft on a private server.
I don't have a Mac. Can I still use Loft?
Yes. On Launch we run a Loft for you: the same rooms and modules, always on the latest version, with your own AI connected to it. It runs no agents and no custom services of its own; for those, run Loft on your own machine or move to Hosting. You can move your Loft onto your own machine at any time and keep every piece of data, and you keep monitoring, the status page and your sites when you do.
Can you read my data?
Off-site copies on Pro are encrypted on your machine before they leave, and we never have the key. Sites and apps you host with us run on our servers, which is the same trust you give any hosting company. We do not sell the paid plans as security. You are paying for recovery and for us to operate things, not for safety you should already have.
Do you charge for agents or AI usage?
No. Run as many agents as you like on any plan, including Free. They use the AI subscriptions you already have. We charge for the work we do on our servers and for the people in your organization, never for your agents.
Do you offer SLAs, invoicing and security reviews?
Managed comes with an SLA and is set up with you directly, billing terms included. For security questionnaires or procurement questions on any plan, write to [email protected] and a person will answer. We will tell you plainly what we have and what we do not.
Can I use a server I already own instead?
That is the spirit of Loft. Pointing your Loft at a second machine you own, like a spare box at a friend's place, is on the roadmap for the free core. You can mix both: run what you like on your own hardware and hand us only the jobs you don't want.
What is the founder rate?
If you join in the launch cohort, the price you start on is the price you keep, for as long as you stay on that plan. We will run promotions later. We will not raise your price.
